On The Fly

What is it?

On the fly is a podcast that is an unusual podcast that doesn't really have a purpose or general audience. No two episodes are ever truly alike and like the namesake, most of the stuff and subjects talked about are come up on the fly. I wanted the branding to feel fun and accessible since that is the general feeling the podcast is trying to deliver. You can find it at this link here.

Logo

As the name of the podcast is on the nose, so is the logo. The base and outstretching lines are meant to represent the microphone and radio waves being sent out, since it is being recorded and broadcasted to the world, or at least those that want to hear it. The wings and head are made to be a fly, using the outstanding rays to be interpreted as its legs, and the lower part of the microphone as the lower half of the fly.

Fonts

The first font used is Blippo, it is used in the logo itself. The second font, Anton, is used in the episode thumbnails to label each episode.

Thumbnails

For each episode, there is a different thumbnail used, at least for the Spotify listeners. Each episode has the same base logo in the center of the square, and in the bottom portion in the font Anton it states what episode this thumbnail is linked to.
